What is Immigration Fingerprinting?

Immigration fingerprinting is the capture of your biometric fingerprints on FD-258 cards — the standard fingerprint card used for U.S. immigration background checks and identity verification. Rolled and flat prints are recorded for FBI security screening when your immigration case requires physical fingerprint cards rather than an in-person USCIS biometrics appointment.

Immigration Situations We Help With

  • Consular Processing: Immigrant visa applications and filings handled abroad
  • Attorney- or Agency-Requested Cards: When you’re specifically asked for FD-258 cards
  • FBI Background Checks for Immigration: Identity History Summary support
  • Naturalization Support: Card-based fingerprinting where required
  • Family-Based Cases: Multiple-applicant fingerprinting at one appointment
  • Apostille of Immigration Background Checks: For international use

Green Card, Naturalization & Family Immigration Fingerprinting

Mobile USCIS-standard fingerprinting across Dallas-Fort Worth for the cases that call for fingerprint cards.

Who Needs Mobile Immigration Fingerprinting?

  • Green card applicants filing through consular processing or abroad
  • Naturalization applicants whose instructions call for fingerprint cards
  • Family petition cases (I-130, I-485) requiring FD-258 cards
  • Immigration attorneys who need FD-258 cards prepared for clients
  • Applicants overseas or filing from outside a USCIS service area
  • Anyone instructed by USCIS, a consulate, or an agency to submit fingerprint cards

How Mobile FD-258 Service Works

Bring your government photo ID and any USCIS notice or attorney instructions to your appointment. We capture your fingerprints on FD-258 cards in about 15–20 minutes, run a quality check on every print, and hand you completed cards to submit to USCIS, your consulate, or your agency per your instructions. For domestic green card, work permit, and naturalization filings, USCIS schedules biometrics at an Application Support Center (ASC) and includes that fee in your filing fee — so if you’ve received an ASC appointment notice, attend that USCIS appointment. We handle the card-based cases that fall outside the ASC process.

What to Bring to Your Immigration Fingerprinting Appointment

Most immigration fingerprinting delays come from missing paperwork, not the prints themselves. Bring everything your attorney or agency sent you, and your appointment will be quick. Here’s the checklist:

  1. Valid government photo ID. A driver’s license, state ID, or passport. The name on your ID should match the name on your immigration paperwork.
  2. Your USCIS notice or receipt number. Any Form I-797 (Notice of Action) or receipt number tied to your case helps confirm you’re getting the right service.
  3. Your attorney’s or agency’s instructions. These tell us exactly what’s required — the card type (FD-258), how many cards, and where they’ll be submitted.
  4. Any form with a code or reference number. Some consular and agency requests include codes or reference numbers that need to go on the card.

Not sure if you need fingerprint cards at all? If USCIS mailed you an Application Support Center (ASC) appointment notice, that’s a separate USCIS appointment — bring that notice to USCIS, not to us. If your instructions ask for FD-258 fingerprint cards, that’s where we come in.
